UnitedHealthcare Global Medical are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced registered doctors to work on an offshore Trinidad and Tobago project. The successful candidate will be resident to and a registered medical professional in Trinidad and Tobago.

You will provide primary and emergency healthcare to all personnel on board. Duties may include First Aid training and promotion of lifestyle issues including fitness, alcohol awareness and healthy eating. You will also be responsible for health and hygiene inspections, supporting the HSE advisor on board, advising on safety issues, clinic management, general administration and computer-based reporting.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a multinational team, enhance your medical skill set and work autonomously whilst supported by a dedicated project and medical team.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Trinidad and Tobago Medical qualification with 2 years post graduate experience in a hospital or prehospital environment
  • Registration as a Doctor with the Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago
  • Experience in trauma, emergency medicine or emergency care management
  • Experience in remote site/offshore working or working autonomously
  • High levels of health and fitness
  • Computer literate
  • Offshore survival certificate such as a BOSIET/FOET
  • Internationally recognised cardiac course to an advanced level
  • Internationally recognised trauma course to an advanced level
  • Seamans book – this is advantageous but not essential
